The benefits of the PANTA Data Warehouse Appliance with Oracle architecture extend to the area of data loading, one of the common challenges in the deployment of a Data Warehouse. As in query processing, the shared-everything architecture and high bandwidth multi-plane InfiniBand fabric make it possible to utilize all available system resources for data loading and allow even the largest Data Warehouse to be loaded in hours.
- Bridge modules attach Ethernet and Fibre Channel networks directly to the high bandwidth InfiniBand Fabric.
- A single bridge module can connect as many as 40 GigE or 4 10GigE Ethernet links, and 8 4Gb/s Fibre Channel links.
- Loading and processing of data is done in parallel on all compute modules in the configuration. This means anywhere from 8 processor cores on a DM4100-03 to 128 processor cores on DM4100-96 or DM4200-48.
